PT Kereta Api objections are considered delinquent taxes for all the main tax bill worth Rp 142 billion, payable in 1998 was paid in stages in 2008 and 2009. The bill comes due in 2004, finance minister published regulations that stated that the transportation of goods by train is the object of VAT.

Vice President of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Adi Suryatmini express it in Jakarta, Friday (29/1/2010).

According to Adi, the finance minister rules that impose VAT is retroactive since the PT Kereta Api to serve the transportation of coal PT Bukit Asam began in 1993. Tunggakannya principal until the year 2008 reached USD 106 billion and had paid off.

However, due to late payment, the new bill comes in the form of fines and tax administration worth Rp 123 billion. This makes the PT Kereta Api object as VAT payments should be made PT Bukit Asam, PT Kereta Api while pemungutnya only. In addition, fines and administrative value far greater than the basic tax arrears.

“However, we are still paying off the bill point. However, for our administrative fines and apply for bleached because we own are working to improve the financial condition of the constant loss. If asked to pay the whole, our financial condition will be more difficult. Request We ask because we are a state that also provide public services, “said Adi.

Earlier, Director General of Tax Tjiptardjo mentions the largest 100 Delinquent taxes in Indonesia. Compass himself has proclaimed it in October 2009 that the total value of actual tax arrears had reached Rp 19 trillion. A total of Rp 7 trillion of which is delinquent in state taxes, such as PT KA.

Efforts to United States government (U.S.) to rescue the financial system failed votes. Provided fresh funds for USD700 billion to fulfill important objectives, such as loans and restraint in the financial sector, triggering activity by a number of banking risk, said U.S. special auditor.

As quoted by AFP, Sunday (31/1/2010), the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) says in a report to Congress, the appraisal is considered too early to measure the overall success of the program in the financial sector, after the peak of financial crisis in October 2008 passed.

“There are signs that clearly the aspects of the financial system is far more stable than the peak of the crisis in the autumn of 2008,” he said.

But the report also states that there are many TARP stated goals unmet and potential new crises will happen again.
“The salvation of our financial system (AS) is predicted to return in 2008. There is no meaningful reforms, we are still driving as if on the winding mountain roads and the same place, but this time at a faster car,” said the report likens.

“Indirectly, its impact was already felt in regions particularly banks, such as increasing credit restraint and prevent home foreclosure risk behaviors that are considered too big for financial firms,” said the report from the inspector general Neil Barofsky.

“Even so, the explicit goal to increase financing in the U.S. business and consumers continued to decline,” he added.

Although in December 2009 and many holiday, but retail sales data still registering a decrease of 0.3 percent (month on month / mom).

In fact, some analysts expect retail sales growth would be as much as 0.5 percent, which fell for the first time since last September 2009. In September, retail sales data this growth as much as 1.8 percent, while the figure even better in October.

Equally disappointing, the unemployment data also experienced an increase of 11 thousand, from which last week reported only 444 thousand. Though, initially projected that the unemployment rate will amount to 437 thousand.

“Are consumers going to take over the role of government to replace the demand was so great coming from government spending? If consumers can not do it, it will cause some significant risks to the recovery story,” said Director of Research from GFT Forex, Boris Schlossberg, as quoted by Reuters on Friday (15/1/2010).

However, capital spending is done so that technology companies boost profits, will divert attention from Wall Street’s weak economic data. In addition, the U.S. dollar also experienced weakening the yen.

The government seems to have the burden to defend the dollar, resulting in revenue for the automotive sector fell 0.8 percent, although the data showed industrial vehicle unit sales rose in December.

Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 44.29 points to 10,291.26, maintaining a positive way this week, including Monday’s rise of more than 200 points.

The Nasdaq composite index rose 15.82 points (0.74 percent) to 2166.90 and the broad market index Standard & Poor’s 500 added 5.50 points (0.50 percent) to 1098.51.

Dow and S & P 500 reached a new daily highest since October last year.

Vibrant trade mark in the middle part of the Veterans Day holiday. Expectations that interest rates will remain low for some time to trigger an early purchase of shares, traders said.

Federal Reserve officials indicated Tuesday that the central bank can continue to maintain interest rates at almost zero percent for some time because of the nature of fragile U.S. economic recovery. “The commitment of the Federal Reserve to continue to maintain the lowest interest rates in history seems to have sparked another rally from Wall Street with a passion (bull),” said Joseph Hargett of Schaeffer’s Investment Research.

Other analysts said the positive economic data fresh from Beijing has injected confidence in the global recovery hopes. “The data of industrial production and retail sales data are encouraging from China, which has been reported to be a source of support at the beginning of the year,” said Patrick O’Hare from Briefing.com.

“Our challenge now is how to create all sesuatunya to make money?” the president said one of the five-star hotel owned by Harrah Entertainment Inc.., Don Maarandino, as quoted MarketWatch, on Tuesday (26 / 5).

In almost all of Las Vegas, especially in the Las Vegas Boulevard, the casino lost pemasukannya from food to hotel room rentals, refreshments and entertainment. Many of the new strategy will be applied for casino winnings.

They spent several strategies, such as to present the best food, service and lower rates that they provide. Maarandino in place, Jack Daniels whiskey brand or a Smirnoff vodka dibanderol usually hundreds of U.S. dollars, are now forced to be sold only $ 45.

So made by Borgota Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, which offers lodging for one week plus a spa treatment with a price of U.S. $ 210 per night.

The Imperial Palace to sell the package one night stay with breakfast and dinner with several other facilities worth U.S. $ 90. Step is also used to decrease the level of employment across the city up to 72% per January.

Jakarta – Joint Stock Price Index (JCI) as long as this weekend to move menguat spectacular. JCI record of the highest since September 2008 with the psychological level through 2000-an.

At the close of stock trading Friday (5/6/2009) JCI increased sharply 46.215 points (2.27%) to 2078.931. Following the recommendations and review of stock Panin Sekuritas, Saturday (6/6/2009).

Weekly Review:

Signal membaiknya macro-economic data raised optimism global economy began to recover from the worst crisis since great depression in 1930. U.S. housing data, the growth figures GPD Australia 2Q-09 is above expectations, and GM bankruptcy on June 1 in 2009 ago as the value of the lowest point in this crisis, as well as raise the hope that the world economy is in the recovery phase.

Market is a risky venture, menguatnya marked with the commodity prices such as crude oil, nickel, tin, coal demand in line with the expectations will increase if the economy recover. Number of low inflation (0.04% mom) assessed the market still restrained. Step back down the BI BI Rate from 7.25% to 7.0% also direspon positive by the market. The rupiah against the dollar’s continued menguat level Rp10.300/USD (Monday) to Rp9.935/USD on Friday. Strengthening of the rupiah in addition to the factors weakening dollar is the currency against another, also indicates the start entry of foreign investors as a response from the strong fundamentals of the economic crisis.

JCI throughout last week to move menguat spectacular +162 points (+8.46%) from the opening of the closing of 2078.93 to 1916.83. Bluechip stocks seen the mining sector, the banking index to be driving along last week.

Recommendations:

Although euforia akan bullish is still ongoing at the beginning of the weekend, we erekomendasikan investors to remain cautious akan potential profit taking. Oil prices have been seen approaching the resistance level of U.S. $ 70-75/barel, where the decline in oil prices and commodity prices will be dragged down mining shares and plantations.

In addition, the price of some banking stocks have been seen to return to levels before the crisis (pre-crisis). Some of the macroeconomic data from the U.S. such as unemployment and retail sales can be the focus next week investors. We expect this weekend to move the index will likely mixed with a range of support-resistance 1992-2110.
